Improvement of the coastal area
The project represents a stage of comprehensive improvement of the coastal zone, integrated into the existing infrastructure of the promenades in Ivangorod and Narva. The length of the section is 500 meters.

The territory is divided into three interconnected zones:


The first zone is the entrance area with a children’s playground made of natural materials in a natural colour scheme. The playground is integrated into a space with a height difference, where retaining walls serve as a climbing wall and park elements.


The second zone is a public space that includes:

  • A viewing amphitheatre
  • A venue for events
  • Pier
  • The art object “Window to Europe”
  • The area with sun loungers

The third zone is a two‑tier promenade with a buffer zone and an observation platform‑lighthouse as the main dominant feature.

The compositional elements include:
  • Division of pedestrian space into transit and recreational zones
  • Use of multi‑level planning solutions
  • Integration of retaining walls with functional elements
  • Use of contrasting materials and textures
The infrastructure includes a 330‑meter bicycle path integrated into the overall planning structure of the territory.

The planning solutions have been developed taking into account the specific features of the area. During the design process, special attention was paid to preserving the natural terrain and harmoniously integrating historical fortification elements into the modern urban environment.

The landscaping of the territory was carried out with maximum preservation of the existing landscape. All infrastructure elements are organically integrated into the natural context, which ensures the integrity of the architectural ensemble and the comfort of its use.
